Jewel was donated in 2009 to Gateway To Canine Partnerships, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the mission of developing programs to assist individuals who are physically challenged in gaining and maintaining greater independence, autonomy and security through the use of trained assistance dogs. She will receive special training to provide assistance and companionship for autistic children. We will miss her, but know she will bring great joy to many people.
