Rosewood Retrievers offers a full range of expert training for your dog.
All dogs brought for training MUST HAVE PROOF OF VACCINATIONS INCLUDING BORDETELLA (Kennel Cough)
PUPPY TRAINING
Puppy training is for puppies 16 weeks to 6 months of age. This is a critical age of learning and introduction to the whole future of your pup. No matter if you are going to hunt your dog, compete in Hunt Tests or just for a family pet.
The puppies are started on basic obedience , walk at heal and to sit on a lead.
The cost is $375 for a two week program. Payment is due at the time of drop off. At the end of the two weeks when you come to pick up your pup, we will spend approximately an hour with you and your pup reviewing the training and provide tips and instruction for you to continue proper training techniques at home.

We house all the puppies in individual kennels and feed high quality dog food.

OBEDIENCE TRAINING
Obedience is for large breed dogs 6 months and older. The basic commands taught in obedience training are as follows:

HERE Comes to you when called.

PLACE Goes to place board.

HEEL Walks at your left and right side, on and off leash.

OFF Doesn't jump up (remains sitting).

KENNEL Gets into dog run or box.

SIT Sits down and stays.

Obedience training is billed at $750 per month. Half of the fee is due at drop-off with the balance due at pick-up. Obedience training does not change bad behaviors, such as aggressiveness, barking, digging, etc.
The dogs are housed in individual kennels and are fed a quality dog food.
